Water Water

Our bodies are largely made up of water. Water is life, and life is movement and purification. Coffee, tea, iced tea, diet soda, soda, fruit juice, decaffeinated beverages; filtered water and distilled water are not viable substitutes for the beverage of life - WATER.

Unfiltered water, which is really the best spring water you can buy (tap is also acceptable depending on your taste buds), contains the necessary minerals to nourish and cleanse the body.

The minimum amount of water needed by an individual depends on his or her body weight. Half the bodyweight number in pounds equals the number of ounces needed daily. A 200-pound person needs a minimum of 100 ounces of water a day; a 40-pound child needs 20 ounces a day, you get the formula. If one is consuming alcohol or caffeine, sweating from sunbathing or exercise, and experiencing mental or emotional stress, more water is needed to prevent cell damage. The skin is the largest organ in the body and needs large amounts of water to stay healthy and young.

The U.S. population has unfortunately ignored the basic need for water. As children we graduated from formula (low water content compared to breast milk) to juices, to sodas, to coffee, to alcohol, and more coffee and more sodas. Avoid filtered, purified or distilled water because they are devoid of minerals and other necessary nutrients. Drink tap or spring water. It is best to avoid caffeine (coffee, chocolate) and alcohol because they dehydrate the body. Increase water intake if you are exercising or under stress.

So what to do? Simple, drink your water. You got nothing to loose except toxins that you don’t want. There is a great book on this subject by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj titled “Your body’s many cries for water”.

FORMULA FOR LONGEVITY

Half the bodyweight number in pounds equals the number of ounces of water needed daily.

Your bodyweight divided in half.
Example: 160 lb. divided in half equals 80 lb.
160-lb. person needs a minimum of 80 ounces of water per day.
